What will the production tower be made of?
The tower is chipboard taped together on the inside at the corners and covered with paper. The cardboard is folded and inserted into plastic holders at the top, middle, and bottom- that double as an external floor for the party figure to stand on, and inside the tower to catch some of the cubes. The crypt and tower will have plastic slots to fit securely into the field board.

How long is the average game?
We ran a bunch of games at Gen Con. Most of them took 2.5 hours including setup and teaching first-time players. Our group of experienced players can do it in 1.5-2 hours.

What happens in a 2-player game with 1 hero each vs. 2 heroes each?
There are various options we’re thinking about so players don’t need to control two heroes. Check out Update #10 for more info on our soon to be released 2 player rules!! We are also looking into solo rules.

Can you mix and match heroes between the base game and its expansions?
We’ve not tested mixing the Tower Laboratory with the base game. The Cursed Library cannot be mixed with the other games.

Dark is the Night is only available to US backers, why isn't it available to everyone? How will I ever complete my copy of The Stygian Society?
Dark is the Night is a completely separate game from The Stygian Society, but you can use the hunter mini from that game. However, you can add just the hunter figure. Simply increase your pledge by $7.
We might add additional games in the pledge manager, but again only for US backers. We can’t make other games available outside the US because we’d have to pay for shipping to the fulfillment center and then to you, which is financially impractical. We do our own US fulfillment from our warehouse in Houston.

Are you considering a campaign mode?
We can’t do a campaign for this project. If we do such a thing in the future then we’ll do it right and not something that’s thrown together as a Kickstarter stretch goal or add-on.
So, it’s on the back burner, but it’s on the stove!

It depends how well the project does, but I’d sure like to make a new hero mini for each expansion.

Why is the box so big and will it include an insert?
The tower is fully assembled in the box and the box has a cardboard insert. We have a near future stretch goal for a nice vacuum tray insert. We’ll size the cards to fit sleeves and we’ll make sure they fit into the insert.

Will there be extra shipping in the pledge manager? I was already charged shipping.
We won’t charge extra shipping in the pledge manager. Worst case, bad thing will happen with tariffs, but this latest round with China still don’t affect board games. It could hurt us badly if a future round affects games, though.

How do I add an extra hunter hero that I missed during early bird? How can I add the expansion without losing my Early Bird pledge?
Simply increase your pledge amount by $7 for the bonus hero, $20 for Dark is the Night game (this is a stand alone game), $21 for the Tower Laboratory expansion.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
